If you had to describe God with only one word what would it be? Don't think about your answer long, just say the word.

I can't do it. Not exactly, one word does come to mind:

Awesome,

but that one word is just not enough, even though it means this: extremely impressive or daunting; inspiring great admiration, apprehension, or fear and this: 'the scale of the mountains was awesome'

SYNONYMS. breathtaking, amazing, stunning, astounding, astonishing, awe-inspiring, stupendous, staggering, extraordinary, incredible, unbelievable. magnificent, wonderful, spectacular, remarkable, phenomenal, prodigious, miraculous, sublime. formidable, imposing, impressive. And the word can be used in a sentence like this one:

"The awesome power of the atomic bomb"

A modern term to describe something that is awesome is

"The Bomb"

God Is The Bomb!

Can I say that to describe The Awesome Power of the most High God?

What awesome power does God have?

The power to create, the power to destroy, the power of a million suns, the power to love the smallest person on earth, the power to forgive, to heal, to transform. The power to rescue, The Father of All nature, The power to be totally pure, and perfect, The power to make all things new. The power to be three persons in one.

The angels, while gathering around His throne understood that power, but they knew one other thing to, that God is Holy and worthy of our praise. Theirs and ours. God is Holy and what does that one word mean?

Definition of holy. 1 : exalted or worthy of complete devotion as one perfect in goodness and righteousness.

Our Awesome God deserves all our devotion and all our praise.

Psalm 99: 1-9

1 The Lord reigns,

let the nations tremble;

he sits enthroned between the cherubim,

let the earth shake.

2 Great is the Lord in Zion;

he is exalted over all the nations.

3 Let them praise your great and awesome name—

he is holy.

4 The King is mighty, he loves justice—

you have established equity;

in Jacob you have done

what is just and right.

5 Exalt the Lord our God

and worship at his footstool;

he is holy.

6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests,

Samuel was among those who called on his name;

they called on the Lord

and he answered them.

7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud;

they kept his statutes and the decrees he gave them.

8 Lord our God,

you answered them;

you were to Israel a forgiving God,

though you punished their misdeeds.

9 Exalt the Lord our God

and worship at his holy mountain,

for the Lord our God is holy.

I think those words are just Awesome!
